Allow us to introduce you to Incatrekkers, a trailblazing Peruvian-Quechua enterprise dedicated to enhancing the lives of indigenous communities.
Greetings, fellow travelers to the enchanting land of Peru,
Allow us to introduce you to Incatrekkers, a trailblazing Peruvian-Quechua enterprise dedicated to enhancing the lives of indigenous communities. As you embark on your journey to explore the wonders of Peru, we invite you to join us in making a profound and lasting difference in the lives of those who call this magnificent country home.
Our unwavering commitment to the indigenous people of Perú is the very foundation upon which Incatrekkers stands. When you choose us as your travel companion, you are not merely embarking on an adventure; you are becoming an active participant in a social project that uplifts and empowers local communities.

Here's a glimpse of how we are actively crafting a bright future for Peru:
Annual Christmas Party: Since 2012, we have made it our tradition to organize an annual Christmas celebration for the families of our dedicated porters and guides in their own local communities. This heartwarming initiative not only brings joy and festivity to these families but also fosters a sense of togetherness. It forges an unbreakable bond between our company and the communities we serve.
Supporting Education: Since 2014, we have been diligently providing essential school supplies such as paper and pens to schools situated in remote, rural areas. By ensuring that these fundamental resources are readily available, we are actively contributing to the enhancement of educational opportunities for the children of these regions. Education, as we believe, is the key to empowerment, and we are wholeheartedly investing in the future of these communities.
Empowering Students: In 2016, we initiated a scholarship program aimed at supporting two aspiring students hailing from rural mountain communities in their pursuit of tourism studies. Through financial assistance, we are enabling these bright individuals to access higher education and acquire valuable skills in the tourism industry. Through this program, we aspire to create more avenues for the youth, opening doors to brighter futures and sustainable development for their communities.
Reforestation: In 2018 and 2019, we planted native trees together with Andean communities – in Quelcanca, the home community of many of our porters, and in the Mantanay conservation area. These projects protect biodiversity, help mitigate climate change and involve local families in caring for their environment.
How travelers can support our projects:
- Donations in kind: School supplies or clothing, depending on the community's needs. We agree with the community in advance on what is needed, so that only useful items are delivered.
- Buying locally: Buying products or services from local entrepreneurs during your tour creates income directly for their families.
- Monetary donations: The bank details or payment link for each project are available on request.
Transparency: Every contribution is recorded and assigned to a specific purpose. After each project, we publish a report showing how much money was raised, what it was spent on and which materials were bought – with receipts, photos and videos, and the results, such as the number of schoolchildren supported.
Our upcoming projects:
Christmas and reforestation in Patacancha (late December 2026): In Patacancha, where several of our team members and porters grew up, we will celebrate the end of the year with the preschool children at a chocolatada with hot chocolate and panetón. Afterwards, we will plant trees together and hold practical talks on why reforestation matters and how we can care for our environment every day. We will finish with a community lunch with the local families.
School supplies for children (March 2027): At the start of the school year, we will bring packages of school supplies to the home community of one of our team members or porters and organize games for the children. The community has not been chosen yet.
As soon as we have more details and photos, we will share them here and on our blog.
At Incatrekkers, we hold a profound belief that responsible tourism transcends providing memorable experiences to travelers. We are steadfast in our mission to drive positive transformation by actively engaging with local communities and propelling social and economic development.
