You can book your trek or tour directly with us in Cusco. If you would like your whole trip from a single source – flights, trek and hotels together – our partner Silvertip Tours in Innsbruck will arrange it for you. Either way, your tours in Peru are run by our own team from Cusco.
What is the difference? If you book flights, trek and hotels together through Silvertip Tours, your trip is a so-called package holiday. In the EU, package holidays come with special legal protection that does not exist in Peru. In practice this means:
- One contact for everything: Silvertip Tours is responsible for your entire trip, not just individual parts. If something does not work out as booked, Silvertip takes care of a solution.
- Help when plans change: If a flight is cancelled or rescheduled, for example, Silvertip helps you reorganise your trip.
- Your money is protected: If a tour operator becomes insolvent, you get your payments back. If you are already travelling, your journey home is arranged. Silvertip Tours is a registered tour operator in Austria (GISA no. 21324567) and is insured against insolvency.
This protection applies to travellers from every EU country. It is based on the EU Package Travel Directive, as implemented in Austrian law. It applies only to packages booked through a European tour operator, not to services booked individually and directly in Peru.
