Your adventure unfolds with an unforgettable 1-hour 30-minute train journey to the commencement point of the legendary Inca Trail trek at km 104. Along this scenic route, be captivated by breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the majestic snow-capped mountains.

Upon crossing the Urubamba River, we'll arrive at the main entrance of the Inca Trail. Here, we'll streamline your experience by presenting permits and passports, ensuring a smooth start to our adventure. Take a moment to brace yourself for the day's hike before we set off on our thrilling journey.

Our first stop is the remarkable archaeological site of Chachabamba, immersing you in the ancient Inca civilization. From there, embark on a captivating 3-hour ascent to Wiñaywayna, also known as 'forever young.' Positioned at an elevation of 2650 m / 8,694 ft, this archaeological site offers a fascinating glimpse into Inca history and architectural prowess.

After exploring Wiñaywayna, our hike continues through the enchanting cloud forest for approximately 1 hour until we reach Intipunku, the famed 'Sun Gate.' Perched at 2720 m / 8,923 ft, this vantage point provides an awe-inspiring panoramic view of Machu Picchu at 2400 m / 7,874 ft. Witness the beauty and grandeur of this ancient citadel from a distance, building anticipation for our final descent.

Descend to Machu Picchu with a short hike, granting you the afternoon to immerse yourself in the magnificence of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.       Travel Insurance: To guarantee complete coverage and protection throughout your trip, we strongly advise obtaining your own travel insurance. It's critical to feel secure in the knowledge that you are protected against unanticipated events.

      Airline Tickets: Our tour package does not include airline tickets.

      Meals: the first meal in Cusco on the first day, lunch and dinner in the Sacred Valley, and lunch in Aguas Calientes on the fourth day following a visit to Machu Picchu.

      Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu Mountain Tickets: These tickets have an extra fee of USD 75, depending on availability.

      Tips for the Crew and Personal Expenses: Expressing gratitude is encouraged for the diligent staff. Tipping is optional and is typically given to the guide and support staff. In addition, personal expenses that you may incur during the trip are not covered by the plan.

        In order to give your body the opportunity to get used to the altitude before the hike, we strongly advise coming at least two days before the tour. Most people can usually acclimate to Cusco (3400m/11,154 ft) in a full day of leisurely walking and heavy drinking of water.

        What to bring

          Ensure you are fully prepared for your adventure with the following essential items:

          Backpack for your daypack: A sturdy backpack to carry your essentials during the day hikes.

          Original passport (mandatory): Carry your original passport for identification purposes, as it is required for entrance to certain sites.

          International Student Identity Card (ISIC): If you are eligible for a student discount, remember to bring your valid ISIC card.

          Personal first-aid kit and necessary medications: Pack a personal first-aid kit with basic supplies and any prescribed medications you may require.

          Rain gear: Be prepared for wet weather with a rain jacket and pants, or alternatively, bring a rainponcho, which can be purchased in Cusco.

          Strong footwear: Opt for walking boots with ankle support to ensure comfort and stability during the trek. Sandals or jogging shoes are recommended for relaxing at the campsite.

          Clothing: Pack a complete change of clothes, including a sweater, jacket, fleece, beanie, hat, and gloves for the colder nights. Thermal clothing is also recommended for a comfortable sleep.

          Water bottles: Bring reusable water bottles, preferably metal or Nalgene-type, to stay hydrated throughout the trek.

          Sunscreen and after-sun cream: Protect your skin from the sun's rays with sunscreen and moisturize with after-sun cream or hydrating lotion.

          Hat or cap: Shield yourself from the sun, rain, and cold with a hat or cap.

          Insect repellent: Ward off pesky bugs with a reliable insect repellent.

          Snacks: Bring your preferred snacks, such as dried fruit, biscuits, chocolate, or energy bars, to supplement our provided meal service.

          Toilet paper and handkerchiefs: Carry toilet paper and handkerchiefs for personal hygiene needs.

          Camera and extra batteries: Capture the unforgettable moments with your camera, and don't forget spare batteries.

          Extra Peruvian soles: Carry some extra cash in Peruvian soles for purchasing drinks and emergencies.

          Walking poles: If you prefer using walking poles, bring them along (with rubber protection for metal spikes when using them on the Inca Trail).
