2-Day Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

The Short Inca Trail (2 Days) is the premier choice for travelers seeking the prestige of the classic trek within a condensed timeframe. Starting at the Km 104 trailhead, this route bypasses the high-altitude mountain passes of the 4-day trek, focusing instead on the lush Andean cloud forest and the most iconic archaeological sites.

As a local operator with over 15 years of expertise, Inca Trekkers ensures a seamless transition from the cobblestones of Cusco to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) at sunset. We specialize in small-group dynamics (2–12 guests) and provide expert navigation through the current 2026 Machu Picchu Circuit Regulations.

The Inca Trekkers Advantage

The Sun Gate Entrance: Unlike day-trippers who enter by bus, you will hike into the citadel through the legendary Sun Gate on Day 1.

Exclusive Archaeological Access: Explore Wiñay Wayna, widely considered the most impressive site on the entire Inca Trail network.

Logistical Precision: We manage every detail—from private transport to specific 2026 permit time-slots—so you can focus on the trail.
