THINGS TO BRING ON THE TREKS
Backpack for your daypack
Original passport (mandatory).
International student identity card (ISIC) if you are claiming a student discount.
Personal first-aid kit and any medecines that you require
Sleeping bag (for 25US$ you can also rent one from us)
Rain gear (jacket and pants if available) or rain poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased in Cusco)
Strong foot wear preferably walking boots with ankle support.
Sandals or jogging shoes for a higher comfort while at camp
One complete change of clothing sweater, jacket-shirt fleece, beanie, hat, gloves for the night, thermal clothing is also recommended, especially for sleeping.
Water bottles (metal or nalgene type)
Flash light/headlamp and batteries
Sunscreen
After-sun cream or hydrating cream for face and body
Hat or cap to protect from the sun, rain and cold
Insect repellent
Snacks, dried fruit, biscuits, chocolate, energy bars etc. Please note that we do provide a very complete and well supplied meal service. This recommendation applies for all clients being used to a specific snack, as it may happen that it is not included in our selection.
Toilet paper and handkerchiefs
Camera, films and extra batteries (batteries consume more quickly under cold conditions)
Some extra to buy drinks and for emergencies in Peruvian soles
Walking poles (optional, if your poles have metal spikes please do not forget the rubber protection if you intend to use them on the Inca Trail)
Small towel
Swimsuit (if you whish to take a bath in the hot springs)
